The Wardens bring the stories, sounds, and spirit of the Canadian Rockies to the stage. This Rocky Mountain-based band blends folk, roots, and western music with haunting three-part harmonies and stories drawn from their experiences as Canadian national park wardens.
Their songs explore wild buffalo, grizzly bears, life on the packtrail, and the challenges facing Canada's protected wilderness. The result is a powerful celebration of mountain culture, nature, and the Canadian landscape.
Following the release of their third album, Sold Out at the Ironwood, band member Ray Schmidt was nominated for Traditional Singer of the Year by the Canadian Folk Music Awards. The Wardens have also received nominations from the BC Touring Council and Country Music Alberta.

“A magical evening of western Canadiana, a historical trip through a world that seems old as time but remains much the same as it was.
