Arts On Community Spotlight is a place for local artists, groups, and arts organizations to share upcoming exhibitions, events, and activities.

Submissions are accepted on a quarterly basis and added to the online events calendar, with additional support through Arts On’s social media and select email communications. This helps connect the local arts community and makes it easier to see what’s happening across Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

Upcoming Events


  • Community Spotlight is open to local artists, arts groups, and non-profit organizations based in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, or those with a clear connection to the local arts community. Online events may be included if hosted by a local artist, arts group, or non-profit organization. Submissions must be public-facing arts activities and should reflect or support the local arts community. Arts On member organisations will be given priority.

  • Submissions may include exhibitions, performances, workshops, artist talks, panels, or screenings. Private events, general promotions, and non-arts activities are not included unless clearly relevant (e.g. opening receptions).

  • Submissions must include a title, date(s), location, short description (up to 150–200 words), an image (1080 x 1080 px), and a website or link for more information. Events must fall within the current quarterly intake period and be submitted before the deadline. Ongoing events should include clear start and end dates.

    If you require assistance with graphic design to meet the required specifications, please contact us and we can provide contact information for local graphic designers who may be able to assist.

  • All submissions are reviewed before publishing to ensure they are complete and appropriate. Arts On may edit listings for clarity, length, or consistency, and reserves the right to decline or remove listings that do not meet the criteria. Inclusion in Community Spotlight does not guarantee additional promotion, but selected listings may be shared through Arts On’s social media and email newsletters.

    All accepted submissions will be featured on the online events calendar redirecting to individual event pages.

  • Community Spotlight runs on a quarterly intake cycle. Submissions are reviewed within 5 business days and added to the website during active intake periods.

    Summer Intake

    • Submission window: May 1 – June 15, 2026

    • Covers events: June 1 – September 30, 2026

    Fall Intake

    • Submission window: July 1 – September 15, 2026

    • Covers events: October 1 – December 31, 2026

    Winter Intake

    • Submission window: October 1 – December 15, 2026

    • Covers events: January 1 – March 31, 2027

    Spring Intake

    • Submission window: January 1 – March 15, 2027

    • Covers events: April 1 – June 30, 2027
